Good Morning All,

I tried to share Sunday the importance of the Lord's instructions, particularly as they relate to the interaction we have with each other on a daily basis.    Our leaders, both in society and in the church, are scratching their heads for answers to the issues facing us today.  I called what I was talking about Sunday A DIVINE PRESCRIPTION.  The Lord being the Great Physician has the answer to the ills and evil of our world.

Since the Bible is God's Word, which He NEVER ignores, denies, or changes, we should be able then to find encouragement, support, answers, etc., to the ills we face.  In other words, His Word is a BOOK OF SPIRITUAL PILLS.  An aspirin can only relieve a headache when it's taken.  I've never heard of someone getting rid of a headache just from reading the aspirin bottle.

How much healing, resolution, restoration, respect, love, appreciation, unity, togetherness, could be experience from taking the Pill of "TREAT OTHERS THE SAME WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED"?   Just this one pill.  Treat other people, the property of others, the opinions of others, the gifts and talents of other, the family of others, etc., the same way you want to be treated yourself.

Could it be that another reason for this, along with glorifying our Heavenly Father, is that by disrespecting others, we disrespect ourselves?  In society, a person could be locked up and considered insane for deliberately trying to doing harm to themselves because part of the fear is, if you don't respect yourself, you become a threat and won't respect others.

But this is just ONE pill.

Consider today's thought.

Have a great day.  God Bless

Pastor

YOUR WILL BE DONE

• What do you think God wants you to do with your life?

• What happens if you ignore God’s will?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5 - 6

Have you ever gotten lost? Even though you really thought you knew where you were going? Would you have gotten lost if you had had good directions?

We can get lost in life if we don’t use the guidebook God has provided us with—the Bible. We were not designed to be “know-it-alls.” None of us were. We were designed to rely on God’s instructions and on his will.

This isn’t always simple. God’s will isn’t always obvious, but that doesn’t mean that we should put our lives on hold while we wait for him to reveal his plan for our lives. God’s Word gives us plenty to go on. The Bible tells us how to behave, how to treat others and how to live wisely. When we follow the instructions God has already given us, he will further reveal his will to us.
